The new version of Serum, 1.2.8b6, is now available for download from the Xfer Records website This update brings a number of bug fixes and performance improvements to the core synth engine which has been subject to some major changes in recent weeks with the release of its collaborative plug-in project - SynthMaster 2. 5. There are no major changes or new features in the synth engine in this update, although a number of issues have been addressed in the preset browser and custom UI functionality. The main focus of this update seems to be a significant improvement to the stability and performance of Serum VSTi version 1.2.6+. Serum VSTi version 1.2.7 is still scheduled to be released in the next few days. All of the features listed below are now available for Serum software synthesizers (VSTi and AAX) and AAX/RTAS/AU/VST compatible DAW host applications – including: – The new version of Serum supports all major DAW platforms: – All communication between Serum and its host is performed over a custom encrypted TCP connection There are no other minor, but potentially significant, changes in this update. – Most of these are to do with stability. No new features have been introduced. Serum is the official plug-in for Native Instruments Maschine, one of the best-selling music production hardware devices available. This makes it the first VSTi plugin to be officially supported on Maschine. There are no restrictions placed on Serum access to hardware controls, even though the release of Serum for Maschine does not yet formally incorporate any expansion capabilities. The following plug-in format warrenties apply: – Xfer Records is a German development studio that was established in 2006 by Dirk Oehm and Christopher "Xano" Schmitz. They are well-known for the high quality of their plug-ins, which are developed with complete focus on stability, performance and features.
